Actress Roopa Ganguly of 'Draupadi' Fame Joins BJP

Kolkata: Bengali performer Roopa Ganguly, well known as "Draupadi" of BR Chopra's epic television arrangement 'Mahabharat', today joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

At a capacity in Howrah area, the 48-year-old performing artist was formally accepted into the gathering fold in the vicinity of senior BJP pioneer and Union Fund Priest Arun Jaitley.

BJP's state authority has been making a decent attempt to draw in film and TV artistes from the state.

They as of now have vocalist turned-MP Babul Supriyo and Bengali film performer George Cook among others.
